FAQ
We put you at the center of the treatment plan to find a medication regimen that works for your needs. We understand there is no such thing as “one size fits all”.
What can I expect from medications?
Medications can be very useful to help with overwhelming mental health symptoms. They can be utilized in a variety of ways. Some are taken every day and some are taken as needed. Most medications take between 2 - 6 weeks for full benefits to be noticed while others can show benefits more immediately. While side effects can occur when starting a medication, it is not the expectation that you need to stay on a medication that is causing significant concerns for you. We want to find a treatment that helps reduce your mental health symptoms without feeling as though you have to “put up” with a new negative symptom. This can sometimes mean trying out a few different medications to find the one that works well for you and your body. This is why we meet with you regularly to check in on your experience with the medication so we can make adjustments as needed. Any changes that you noticed, we want to hear about it! We want to ensure you do not feel lost or confused about the process.
Will medications be the only thing we talk about?
Absolutely not! Our motto is “Whole Human Mental Health Care”. This means we are going to take the time to listen to all aspects of your personal situation to determine if there are other adjustments that could be made to get you feeling your best. We go over diet, sleep routines, exercise, vitamins, social networks, career life, romantic life, family dynamics, and everything else in between to help root out the sources of your symptoms. There are so many things that make you, YOU! Medications alone are rarely the only solution to finding the resolve you are searching for. So lets dig deep to explore ways in which we can make lasting change.

A superbill is a detailed receipt that lists all the services you've received during your appointment. It is a way for you to submit a claim to your private insurance company for potential reimbursement. Currently, because we won’t directly bill your insurance, you can use the superbill to ask your insurance to cover some or all of the costs.
If you need a superbill, just let us know, and we’ll provide it after each session. It's a helpful option if you're looking to get reimbursed by your insurance provider!

Our practice requires that we meet at minimum once every 3 months. This is to adhere to Federal and State laws requiring assessments be completed once every 3 months to ensure your safety.
It is possible you could be required to meet more frequently than this based on your providers evaluation. Your medication prescriber will discuss the frequency requirements with you so there won’t be any surprises!

We are excited that Medicaid will be the first insurance our practice will accept!
We are planning on adding additional private insurance plans within the coming months.

At our practice, we prioritize giving our team ample time to rest, recharge, and spend meaningful time with loved ones. We’re intentionally stepping away from urgency culture and embracing regular rest and recovery. We believe this not only supports our team’s well-being but also leads to better care—and better outcomes—for you.

The quickest way to request a medication refill is through your patient portal. Submit your request directly to your prescribing provider. Please allow for 5 -7 days notice to avoid any delays that could result in missed doses.
This means contacting your prescriber and pharmacy when you have 1 week of medication remaining. Since there are several steps involved in a medication refill, both our clinic and your pharmacy will need time to complete the process.
